В эпоху развития Интернета и наличия огромного количества информации в нем нам зачастую проще узнать что-то в поисковике, а не обратиться к специалисту. Иногда это оправданно, но только не в том случае, если это касается нашего здоровья. Ведь зачастую последствия от неверного лечения могут быть страшнее самой болезни. И недавно этим процессом заинтересовалась Google, которая будет докладывать «куда надо» о тех, кто занимается самолечением благодаря поисковику.
В данном случае «куда надо» — это медицинские центры. Если вы беспокоитесь о своей безопасности, то не стоит, так как все, что задумала Google, — официально и законно. Дело в том, что тренды Google, а также твиты с геолокацией — это общедоступная информация, открытая для каждого. Причем врачи давно ее анализируют. Например, эксперты центра контроля и профилактики заболеваний США выявили связь между случаями вспышек сифилиса и онлайн-активностью людей в этих же областях.
История запросов в Google по поиску некоторых ключевых слов вроде «STD» (sexually transmitted diseases — заболевания, передающиеся половым путем) и «Find Sex» (тут, нам кажется, перевод не требуется) напрямую связаны с увеличением числа зарегистрированных случаев сифилиса на той же территории в последующие несколько недель. Другое исследование выявило закономерность между вспышками сифилиса и твитами о сифилисе в «Твиттере».
Более того, эксперты сравнили выводы от полученных данных с реальным уровнем сифилиса за 4 года. При этом была выявлена прямая связь между поведением людей в Сети и их сексуальным здоровьем. Так что, возможно, в будущем нам придется следить за тем, что мы спрашиваем у поисковой системы. Для того, чтобы невольно не стать участником эксперимента.
