О вреде фастфуда было написано столько всего, что читать данные научные труды можно неделями напролёт. Оказалось, что организм реагирует на подобную пищу точно так же, как на бактериальную инфекцию.
В ходе эксперимента лабораторных мышей перевели на диету с высоким содержанием сахара, жиров и практически с полным отсутствием клетчатки (именно так можно охарактеризовать большую часть современного фастфуда). Очень скоро учёные обнаружили в крови грызунов огромное количество новых иммунных клеток. Подобная реакция характерна для организма, когда в него попадает потенциально опасный агент вроде бактерии или вируса. Помимо гиперактивности иммунной системы в организмах грызунов также были выявлены воспалительные процессы.
По мнению учёных, иммунная система воспринимает фастфуд как врага и с момента попадания его в организм начинает активно бороться с ним, дабы защититься от вредоносного влияния. Гиперактивность иммунитета приводит к изменению ДНК, делая защитные функции организма более агрессивными, поэтому впоследствии иммунитет практически перестаёт отличать вредную пищу от полезной. Но что самое неприятное, эти изменения невозможно обратить. После того как мышей перевели на здоровую диету, учёным удалось избавиться от воспалительных процессов в их организме, однако большинство иммунных клеток остались столь же агрессивными, уничтожая даже полезные для организма вещества.
Таким образом, получается, что фастфуд с лёгкостью перепрограммирует организм, приводя его в состояние постоянной боевой готовности и мешая отличать хорошую еду от плохой. Учёным ещё предстоит выяснить все тонкости этого процесса, однако в одном сомневаться не приходится: если вам дорого здоровье, от фастфуда следует держаться как можно дальше. Впрочем, в данном случае речь идёт о любой высококалорийной пище, которой многие люди злоупотребляют себе во вред.
